The slopes above the village are heavy, it means the dead leaves are washed away by rain. The result is a low organic matter content, despite the heavy forest cover. The soil is sandy, just like on Da Ping Zhang. This tea has a specific fragrance, it has a light mouthfeel and a relatively high bitterness. This characteristic makes it a worthy addition to our Gulan blend.
