Art Nouveau Tile by Mügeln Jugendstil Flowers Italian Pottery It shows the severed headA beautiful Jugendstil tile from the Ofen Porzellan und Tonwarenfabrik Mgeln G. m. b. H factory in Saxony Germany about 1900. It measures 6" square and 3 8" thick. the turn of the century color scheme works as well today as it did 120 years ago and the design looks good displayed in either direction. An identical tile is pictured in the book Jugenstil Fliesen by Rene Simmermacher, page 42. The tile remains in excellent condition.
