The bottom has a flat slot for the oldest style leather joint. The leather connecting joint measures 9 16 wide, 2 5 8 long, and 1 8 thick, with two holes pre cut for the attaching screws. Compatible With: Older Traditional Ashford spinning wheels (pre mid 1980s)
