Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a central red and white enameled HJ insignia overlaid by a black mobile swastika, within a gilt laurel wreath bearing a central plaque with a raised date of 1940, the reverse with a makers mark of B. H. MAYER, PFORZHEIM, measuring 18 mm (w) x 16 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
