Germany, Imperial. A Wound Badge, Silver Grade Newly Listed An unusual Iron Cross 1914(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a hollow background, the reverse with a crimped and raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38. 55 mm (w) x 43. 48 mm (h), weighing 8. 0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
