Animal Gourd Ornament Decorated Sugar Skulls It’s very difficult to doGorgeous carved gourds from the Huave Indians of the coast of Oaxaca. They are masterfully carved with animals and birds with rustic tools, to create a lovely reflection of the indigenous jungle animals that roam their areas around their villages. All are deep black which is achieved by passing them over a flame before they are carved and all have hangers. Each is unique. (the black doesn't rub off). Size varies, but most are between 3. 5" to 4"
