Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A War Medal by B.B&Co Republic of Treaty Eleven provided for aInstituted in 1915. In silvered tomback, a five pointed red enamelled star, each arm finished with ball finials, obverse center shows a raised crescent moon encircling the Tugra (cipher of Sultan Mehmed V), horizontal pinback marked with BB&Co, measures 54. 8 mm, weighs 27. 7 grams, very fine condition. Footnote: The Ottoman War Medal is a military decoration awarded by the Ottoman Empire. It was instituted by Sultan Mehmed V on 1 March 1915 for
