Still a wonderful piece of history and very rare to find

and puffed sleeve

printed with incredible Art Nouveau style nudes in off-white and violet purple

1960s Beetle print batik dress - Small Antique one teardrop has minor wearAn interesting early 1960s day dress, in what I believe to be Indonesian batik printed cotton, featuring stylised florals, huge peacocks, and Atlas beetles in flight! Semi fitted bodice, with pleat details to a rigid waistline, and straight skirt below. The chest fastens with popstuds, behind fabric bow at collared neckline, and two large covered buttons. Side metal zip to fasten. No labels, but I found a piece of same age in very very similar fabric
